Welding positioner is a universal and efficient welding tooling equipment to realize circumferential seam welding.
The welding positioner is mainly composed of a rotating head, a displacement mechanism, and a controller; the rotating speed of the rotating head is adjustable, has an independent speed regulation circuit.
The selection principle of welding positioner has the following 3 points: One is the principle of workpiece application, the other is the principle of convenient welding, and the third is the principle of easy operation.
(1) Workpiece application principle. The appearance of different structural parts of construction machinery is very different, and the displacement requirements during welding are also different. Therefore, the suitable welding positioner should be selected according to the structural characteristics and welding requirements of the welded structural parts.
(2) The principle of convenient welding. According to the manual welding operation conditions, the selected welding positioner should be able to transfer any weld of the welded workpiece to the flat welding or ship welding position to avoid vertical and overhead welding and ensure welding quality.
(3) Principle of easy operation. The welding positioner which is safe and reliable, good openness, low operating height, and compact structure should be selected to facilitate the operation of the workers and the placement of the welding positioner. If the welding operation height of the welding structure positioner is relatively high, workers can weld by means of padding, or adjust the height and position by installing a hydraulic lifting platform.
The customer must clarify the following four basic requirements according to the characteristics of the assembly and welding process before choosing:
① Functional requirements for welding positioner: What actions need to be realized by the welding positioner? Such as translation, lifting, or rotation. If it is the translation, is it linear translation or curved translation? If it is a rotary motion, is it continuous rotation or intermittent turning?
② Requirements for the movement speed of the welding positioner: The customer must specify whether the movement speed of the welding positioner is fast or slow? Is it constant speed or variable speed? Is it step-variable or continuously variable?
③ Requirements for the transmission stability and accuracy of the welding positioner: The positioner used to realize automatic welding requires a higher transmission accuracy. At this time, worm transmission and gear transmission can be selected.
④ Requirements for self-locking, overload protection, vibration absorption, and other capabilities of the welding positioner: Normally, for lifting or overturning, and for driving with the risk of overturning, and for safety, the transmission mechanism must have self-locking capability. There may be multiple transmission modes and their corresponding transmission mechanisms. At this time, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze the transmission power between them, the compactness of the size, the high and low dynamic efficiency, and the manufacturing cost.
